Story
The game follows the adventures of Adol Christin and his companion Dogi as they arrive in Dogi's homeland of Felghana, only to find it in turmoil. The region is plagued by violent monsters, a dormant volcano has erupted, and a tyrannical new lord is extorting the suffering citizens1. Game Play
The gameplay remains true to the original, with fast-paced hack-and-slash combat where it utilizes a combo system. With consecutive attacks, you build up your power, strength, experience and MP.
There are light elements of platforming and puzzle-solving.
Adol has a series of ground combos, jump attacks, and a growing list of spells to use in battle. The combat is simple yet satisfying, with a focus on dodging and timing your attacks.
As you hack and slash your back tracking environments, using jump or double jump.
You can even add a 1.5x - 2x turbo mode if you wish to give more kicks to your exploration.
Visuals and Sound
The remastered version includes updated character portraits and a new turbo mode that speeds up the gameplay.
While some aspects of the graphics may feel dated, the overall visual presentation is still impressive.
