The inaugural Game Awards was a blast for the winter season this year.
Poised with lots of interesting hosts that heralded the announcements of the winners and tons of new game announcements that seem to point to year of RPG for 2024.
With the 2 main event hosts, Geoff and Sydnee bringing the winners to the table and announcing many big titles that will be arriving in 2024.
Culminating all the AAA and indie games for 2024 and included several hosts like Chris Judge himself to announce the winners but with no speeches this year.

There were total of 123 nominated games with some snubbing multiple categories.
With Baldur's Gate 3 having 8 nominations, followed by Spider-Man 2 with 7 nominations.
With Baldur's Gate 3 owning the most awards including Best RPG, Best Player's Voice and Game of the Year.
Best Action/Adventure went to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
The competition for this year's winners was really tight with many good games and even if Spider-Man 2 did not win any award, it is still regarded as a great game by many gamers who played it.

Some premier trailers for new games added to the quality of the show.
New games announced such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake, Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO, Exoborne, First Descedent, Last Sentinel, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Creator's of Life is Strange), Metaphor ReFantazio, Marvel's Blade, Rise of Ronin (Team Ninja), Skulls & Bone, Vision of Mana, ZZZ, Zau, and Warframe: Expansion Whispers in the Walls.

Sega announced many new games they're working on including Crazy Taxi (3D racing), Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio (3D Adventure), Shinobi (2D platformer), Streets of Rage (3D Beat'Em Up), Golden Axe(3D Action) and many more.

The official Final Fantasy VII Rebirth theme was also played during mid of the show.
GOW Ragnarok expansion Valhalla and FFXVI expansion was also announced.
Ikumi Nakamura's upcoming secret game Kemuri trailer was shown before she even signed with any publisher.

The show was long drawn with around 3 hours and was padded with many ads.
It ended with grand music performances by the Choir and dance from Alan Wake II actors.
